Dinesh Doshi's art journey

Dinesh Doshi’s artwork emerges from deep observation and inner processing.
Through recurring symbols of the eye and lips, he maps the connection between perception, expression, and the unspoken territories of the mind. His paintings explore the inner workings of consciousness, blending psychological reflection with spiritual vision.

At the young age of twenty-one, Doshi was invited for his first solo exhibition at Mumbai' s highly respected Jehangir Art Gallery and has sold his work throughout India. For the majority of his life, Doshi has maintained an active studio practice, while simultaneously having a successful career in Architecture and Design. Doshi received a Master's in Architecture from Pratt Institute. He has completed design projects in forty-three US states & abroad.

Dinesh Doshi, New York based Indian American artist, was born in Africa in 1949.

In 2016, Doshi created the Art Charity "Draw Your Dreams" providing free art supplies to children in Africa, which is funded by the sales of his artwork. In 2013 Doshi had a retrospective Chelsea art exhibition of abstract & figurative with bright colors compositions of original oil in New York, while his work is in numerous corporate & private collections. His work has been featured in several radio interviews & publications such as the Huffington Post, The Art of Times, News India Times & Just Luxe etc.
2024 & 2025 Doshi has gone back to his roots in India & intensely exhibiting his work to the Indian continent!
